TinyBuild, a well-known name in both game development and publishing, has recently sold off its quality assurance branch, Red Cerberus. This transition sees Red Cerberus now part of TestFly, a company specializing in testing services. The transaction, valued at $1.5 million, will be settled in cash once the deal is finalized.
Kevin Chelius, the CEO of TestFly, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, saying, “Integrating Red Cerberus into TestFly is something we’re really excited about. Their wealth of experience and strong reputation perfectly match our goal of pioneering new standards in game testing. This move not only reinforces our dedication to helping developers and publishers deliver consistent and top-quality gaming experiences worldwide, but it also bolsters our foothold in the Latin American market.”
Meanwhile, TinyBuild’s CEO, Alex Nichiporchik, reflected on the sale, noting, “Letting go of Red Cerberus is a significant step for us as we refine our portfolio to focus on what we excel at—developing and nurturing compelling intellectual properties. Red Cerberus has been an invaluable ally throughout our journey, and I want to extend my gratitude to the entire team for their unwavering commitment.”
Nichiporchik further elaborated, “By redirecting our resources towards our main creative projects, we aim to enhance our long-term revenue potential through the launch of new game IPs. We have some promising titles slated for 2025, and we’re eagerly looking towards what the future holds for TinyBuild.”
