Hey folks, Yasuyuki Oda here, the producer behind Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. I’m excited to give you a rundown on how to leverage the REV System to dominate your opponents, no matter how tough they are. We’ll dive into some of the game’s flashiest combos and share our plans for the Season 1 Pass DLC characters. So, let’s jump right in and gear you up for the fight in Fatal Fury!
The REV System is your secret weapon for turning the tides in your favor. With REV Arts, you can turbocharge your special moves, while REV Accel is perfect for crafting eye-catching combos and applying pressure to your adversary. On the defense side, the REV Guard button (R1) acts as a powerful tool, helping you keep your challengers at bay with just a single press. This is especially effective against tricky moves like Kain’s Schwarzes Rondo or B. Jenet’s Gulf Tomahawk. While holding the REV Guard, you can execute other actions too, like breaking out from grabs or cleverly hopping out of tight spots. Make holding the REV Guard on wake-up a habit; it’s a great strategy for staying protected in battle.
Now, let’s talk about combos. The REV System can really spice up your gameplay with a variety of impressive combos. Taking center stage are our old favorites, Mai Shiranui, Rock Howard, and Terry Bogard. We’ve prepared step-by-step guides tailored for each of them, so you can unleash these top-tier combos whether against friends or competitors worldwide.
Let’s start with Mai Shiranui: Combine moves like (Close) Neutral HK, Feint, and HP Hana Arashi with braking techniques and the REV innovations to execute a formidable series of attacks, ending with Kagerou no Mai.
Moving on to Rock Howard: His sequence includes moves such as (Close) Neutral HK and →+Feint. Combine these with the REV Hard Edge and REV Rage for a dazzling display, capped off with the Raging Storm.
Finally, there’s Terry Bogard: His combo begins with (Close) Neutral HP, progresses through skills like REV Burning Knuckle and REV Crack Shoot, and crescendos with an aerial REV Blow and Cosmic Strike Geyser to finish off.
With the Season 1 Pass, five new characters are on their way. Among them is Andy Bogard, Terry’s brother, known for blending Koppo and ninjutsu techniques. Hokutomaru shares similarities with Andy, making him a good starting point for training purposes.
Another iconic figure, Joe Higashi, brings his Muay Thai skills back into the mix, completing the legendary trio alongside Terry and Andy. This fall marks the exciting return of these cherished fighters.
Adding more firepower, Mr. Big from the Art of Fighting series returns with his unique blend of bojutsu and street fighting, ready to shake things up in South Town.
And let’s not forget about the legendary crossover as Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter join the fray as guest characters. This historic collaboration adds a thrilling twist to the game.
