Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Delivers Fan-Favorites with Overpowered Characters in First DLC Pack

The first downloadable content pack for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has finally been unveiled, and it’s bound to excite fans, especially those who’ve been keeping up with the latest movie developments.

So there’s a fresh Dragon Ball anime on the scene called Daima, which technically acts as a follow-up to the Z series but predates Super. However, the most recent in the lineup is the Super Hero film, a 3D extravaganza that highlights Gohan and Piccolo, introducing some formidable new forms for both characters. Ever since this movie’s release, fans have been eagerly waiting for their favorite new transformations to make their way into the game. Earlier, we learned that Gamma 1 and 2 would be part of the game, and a new trailer by Bandai Namco has now dropped, revealing all the characters in the first DLC. And yes, it features Orange Piccolo and Beast form Gohan.

The trailer reveals that a whopping 11 new characters will be available to play, including four distinct versions of Gohan: his latest base form, Super Saiyan, Ultimate form, and of course, his Beast transformation. Piccolo’s lineup is just as impressive, featuring a new base form, a powered-up version, the Orange form, and even the massive Orange form he uses to take on Cell Max. Speaking of Cell Max, he’s part of the DLC too and, similar to Great Ape Vegeta and some other characters, is a giant on the battlefield. Not to forget, Gamma 1 and 2 join the roster as well, equipped with their unique sound effects that fan out during clashes. I have no doubt Gohan and Piccolo will dominate matches online, and I’m eager to see them in action.

Unfortunately, it seems the DLC isn’t bringing any new storyline content, but there are three fresh custom battles to look forward to. Plus, Piccolo gets a new costume, his Red Ribbon soldier disguise, adding a fun twist. Bandai Namco has hinted at more surprises, although details remain under wraps. For those who have the season pass, get ready to dive in three days ahead of everyone else on January 20th. So gear up, because more punching thrills are just around the corner!
