PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium users, get ready—you’re in for something special this year! Four new games are heading your way, all added to the Game Catalog perk the moment they hit the market. Among them is FBC: Firebreak from Remedy Entertainment, a multiplayer first-person shooter that’s just announced its release window for Summer 2025.
In FBC: Firebreak, you’ll find yourself back in The Oldest House, the iconic HQ of the Federal Bureau of Control, already beloved by fans of the critically acclaimed Control. But this time around, Remedy is shaking things up by zeroing in on gameplay rather than crafting an intricate backstory or narrative. They’re breaking away from the usual pitfalls of live-service games by eliminating the dreaded fear of missing out. All content is free, and players have the liberty to dive in at their own pace, without feeling pressured.
The latest trailer gives us a sneak peek into the Paper Chase Job, one of several missions you can tackle in FBC: Firebreak. Here, your task is to help the Firebreak Initiative clear out rogue sticky notes taking over parts of The Oldest House. Additionally, you get a glimpse of the various loadouts you can choose from to fend off the Hiss menace.
Once it’s out, you can enjoy FBC: Firebreak on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, available through the Epic Games Store and Steam.
But that’s just the beginning! This release is one of four exciting new additions to the Game Catalog at launch. Alongside FBC: Firebreak, you’ll find Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. If you’re eager to dive right in, the first part of Lost Records is already accessible to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, with the next installment dropping next month.
On top of all this, PS Plus members get early bird access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. You can snag fantastic deals on hit games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 right now.
