CD Projekt RED has officially announced that they’re bringing Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2, with some help from Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology.
In a conversation with Digital Foundry, the developers shared, “We’re integrating a version of DLSS compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2, powered by Nvidia’s Tensor cores. This tech supports DLSS in all four modes: whether you’re playing in handheld or docked mode, focusing on either performance or quality.”
Further details were provided, stating, “Our aim is to achieve a 1080p resolution in docked quality, docked performance, and handheld quality modes. In handheld performance mode, the target is set at 720p.”
For those unfamiliar, Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action-adventure RPG where you step into the role of V, a mercenary with cyber-enhancements. You’ll navigate the gritty landscape of Night City, tackling challenges in both the main game and the thrilling Phantom Liberty expansion.
The game has been tailored for every gameplay scenario. This includes motion controls for combat, a Gyroscope Mode for accuracy, and the flexibility to manage menus and inventories through tapping, swiping, or pinching. Plus, you can opt to use the Joy-Con 2 (R) for mouse-like control.
Mark your calendars for 5th June 2025, when Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition makes its grand entry on the Nintendo Switch 2, available both at retail and on the Nintendo eShop.
