Just as Nintendo revealed the release date for the Switch 2, they hit the brakes on preorders in the U.S. and Canada, all thanks to Donald Trump’s tariff turmoil. It wasn’t long before Trump decided to hold off on the tariffs until after the Switch 2’s debut. Now, at last, Nintendo has shared when eager fans in North America can start their race to outpace the scalpers.
Circle your calendars for April 24, 2025, because that’s when pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will kick off. Here’s some more good news: the prices aren’t budging. You’ll be able to snag the Switch 2 for $449.99, or, if you’re a Mario fan, you can grab the Switch 2 bundled with Mario Kart World for $499.99.
As for game lovers, the cost of physical and digital copies of Mario Kart World will remain at $79.99, and you can pick up Donkey Kong Bananza for $69.99 at launch.
