Board partners recently received news about a delay affecting both the RTX 5060 series GPUs, pushing their expected launch dates back by several weeks.
### GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060: Adjusted Launch Timeline
As anticipation builds for the launch of the GeForce RTX 5070, chatter is growing around setbacks for the RTX 5060 series GPUs. Originally, these cards were slated for a March unveiling with availability in April. However, the latest update indicates a further postponement.
Exactly why this delay has occurred isn’t crystal clear, but Board Channels has confirmed that NVIDIA has informed all their partners of these changes. While it’s not yet officially announced by NVIDIA, don’t be surprised if this news holds true. Prior hints of bugs and supply chain hiccups have floated around as potential culprits for holding back the release, though nothing has been officially confirmed by NVIDIA themselves.
> NVIDIA has reached out to all AIC partners through internal communication, advising them about the delayed release of the new RTX 5060 Ti / 5060 series products. They have highlighted that the RTX 5060 Ti 16G / 8G series is likely to see a mid-April release, and the RTX 5060 series could follow around mid-May. However, the specific dates still await further confirmation from NVIDIA.

Current reports suggest the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti will see a mid-April launch while the GeForce RTX 5060 will debut a month later in mid-May. Both versions of the RTX 5060 Ti are anticipated to roll out simultaneously. However, official launch dates remain under wraps, even among NVIDIA’s closest partners.
It’s worth noting that this delay could mean the RTX 5060 series arrives around the same time as AMD’s RX 9060 series. The RX 9060 line, including the RX 9060 XT and RX 9060, offers both 8 GB and 16 GB options, positioning them as direct competitors to NVIDIA’s offerings. Although we are still waiting on a specific launch date for the RX 9060 series, rumors hint at a reveal in the second quarter of the year.
As a successor to the RTX 4060 Ti, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is set to pack 4608 CUDA Cores, come with either 8 or 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and have a 180W TDP. Meanwhile, the RTX 5060, replacing the RTX 4060, boasts 3840 CUDA Cores, 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, and a 150W TDP. Interestingly, recent leaks have suggested there might be a 12 GB variant of the RTX 5060 on the horizon, though it’s not yet official. Should this version come to light, it could give NVIDIA an edge, particularly if AMD sticks to the 8 GB versions for their RX 9060.
For those tracking these developments closely, significant shake-ups could be on the way for the graphics card market.
