Drawing inspiration from the initial glimpses we got in the first trailer, the new preview introduces us to a young girl navigating life in a quaint Japanese town set in the 1960s—a fresh setting for the franchise. The serene yet eerie atmosphere quickly intensifies as a thick fog rolls in. The girl begins noticing flowers before encountering a staggering woman, unraveling into a series of creepy occurrences. Monsters start appearing, compelling the girl to grab a pipe, ready to defend herself, with a spore-infested house looming in the backdrop.
Silent Hill f is in the works by a skilled studio based in Taiwan, collaborating closely with Japanese developers. They’ve shared more insights about the game’s creation during a recent stream, featuring the creative input of writer Ryukishi07 and character and creature designer Kera. Konami delved deep into the game’s setting, explaining how they used a wealth of photos and audio references to authentically capture the essence of a rural town, while also shedding light on the psychological themes they aim to explore through the young protagonist’s journey.
Though the trailer leaves us hanging without a release date, it does confirm that Silent Hill f will be making its way to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X. If you’re eager to get in on the action, you can already add it to your wishlist on Steam.
