Capturing Monsters and Harnessing Their Powers for Exploration in Synth Beasts

You’re invited to dive into the adventurous world of Synth Beasts, where you step into the shoes of a "Synth," an escaped experiment from a secretive lab on an enigmatic island. As you journey across the nearby islands, other Synths cross your path. But watch out – they aren’t there for a friendly chat. You’ll need to outsmart them in battle, and upon victory, you’ll unlock them as part of your squad, each bringing their own special skills to both battle and exploration.

In the midst of these battles, your Synths will gain experience, climbing the ranks to new levels. There are five stages of growth for each Synth, each one bringing new bonuses to further differentiate them. However, as they grow, it takes more effort to earn experience, so don’t forget to mix up your team. This will help you unlock more abilities without breaking a sweat!

Take the "Psitek" Synth, for example. From the get-go, it can light torches. Once it hits level three, it learns to deflect projectiles with a fiery slash, a handy trick for some tricky dungeons. Beyond that, its skill set leans heavily toward combat enhancements. So, it might make sense to switch up your lineup and work towards unlocking fresh abilities with less of a grind.

Early on, a boat comes into the picture, previously used by the scientists, and it’s all yours to commandeer! The Genesis Archipelago is dotted with small islands, each hiding little treasures like extra hearts, stat boosts, and spending money for the local shops. Feeling explorative? Go on, uncover every nook and cranny. Not in the mood to search? No worries. Head straight to the main islands and take on the scientists’ dodgy operations directly.

Some of these main islands are home to boss-level Synths, but plenty of other islands offer optional showdowns. Capturing all of the more than 40 Synths available will challenge even the most seasoned players, but the rewards scattered throughout the Genesis Archipelago are well worth the effort.
